Tommy Robinson Charged for Refusing to Leave London Antisemitism March
Tommy Robinson, also known as Stephen Lennon, was charged for not leaving the area of an anti-antisemitism march in London after being ordered to do so. The organizers expressed concerns that his presence could cause disturbances.
Upon arrest near the Royal Courts of Justice, where the march began, police used pepper spray. He claimed to be there as a journalist and later argued that bail conditions, which barred him from entering London or attending protests, infringed on his human rights. The Metropolitan Police had warned Robinson several times, emphasizing that his presence was distressing to others, but he refused to leave. Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis spoke at the event, emphasizing the Jewish community's resilience against hate. The police confirmed that there were a total of two arrests related to the event.
