An investigation by BBC News has revealed how Mohamed Al Fayed, former owner of Harrods, established a systemic network of enablers to facilitate and conceal his sexual abuse.
Alleged victims, including a woman named 'Kate', recount being summoned to Al Fayed's apartment and being subjected to sexual assaults.
Various enablers, such as company doctors, senior personal assistants, and security staff, played integral roles in the execution and cover-up of these acts.
Dr. Ann Coxon was implicated in performing invasive medical examinations under the guise of routine check-ups mandated by Al Fayed.
Personal assistants were responsible for scheduling these examinations and subsequently sending victims to Al Fayed’s residence.
Security personnel, including former head of Harrods' security John Macnamara, were also accused of intimidating witnesses to maintain their silence.
Harrods has since acknowledged past failures and claims to be a reformed organization.
