Search for Missing Runner Enters Fifth Day in County Durham

A significant police search operation for missing 23-year-old runner Jenny Hall is now entering its fifth day.
Ms. Hall, a resident of Tow Law, County Durham, was last seen departing her home shortly after 3 PM on Tuesday.
Her vehicle, a red Ford Focus, was discovered on Wednesday abandoned along the B6278, situated in a remote moorland area between Eggleston and Stanhope.
Authorities have mobilized a variety of resources to aid in the search for Ms. Hall, utilizing specialist drones and involving mountain rescue teams alongside police officers.
The primary focus of the search operations has been in Hamsterley Forest and its surrounding regions, noted for their extensive running trails.
In addition to drone surveillance, law enforcement agencies have employed sniffer dogs and HM Coastguard air support to enhance their efforts.
However, search teams are facing significant challenges due to adverse weather conditions and difficult terrain, which have impacted search operations.
As part of the investigation, digital intelligence officers have examined Ms. Hall’s mobile phone, smartwatch, and running applications in an attempt to find leads, but so far, these efforts have yielded no substantial information.
Chief Inspector Dean Haythornthwaite from Durham Constabulary expressed increasing concern for Ms. Hall's wellbeing since her disappearance.
Ms. Hall is characterized as white, approximately 6 feet tall with dark brown hair, which may have been styled in a ponytail.
At the time of her last sighting, she was reportedly wearing a blue John Deere hoodie, dark jogging bottoms, and possibly carrying a green jacket.
