Tragic Collision Claims Lives of Three Young People in Feltham, London

A 17-year-old girl and two male teenagers die in a car and bus crash; two passengers from the bus are hospitalized.
Three individuals, including 17-year-old Star Tomkins, were killed in a tragic road traffic collision involving a car and a bus in Feltham, southwest London.

The incident occurred on Bedfont Road at approximately 11:55 PM on Monday, March 31, prompting immediate response from Metropolitan Police and emergency services.

Upon arrival, officers discovered both the car, a Mercedes, and the bus engulfed in flames.

Star Tomkins and two teenage males, who were occupants of the car, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A fourth male teenager was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

Witnesses reported that two passengers aboard the H26 bus, en route to Hatton Cross, were also hospitalized, although their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Paramedics treated additional passengers at the scene, with the London Ambulance Service responding with multiple resources, including ambulance crews and an advanced paramedic, as well as members from the hazardous area response team and London’s Air Ambulance.

The incident occurred near the HMP Feltham on Bedfont Road, a stretch of about one mile between Chertsey Road and Clockhouse Roundabout.

A mechanic who works in the area noted the road was closed the following morning due to the accident's severity.

Fire crews from Feltham and Heston stations responded and successfully extinguished the fire by 1:41 AM on Tuesday.

Fire Brigade officials have expressed their condolences to the families impacted by the incident and pledged support for their personnel involved in the emergency response.

A GoFundMe page established to support Star Tomkins' family has raised over £7,000 in a short time, reflecting the community's response to her passing.

Family and friends remember her as a beloved daughter and friend, noting her kind spirit and impact on those around her.

Claire Mann, Chief Operating Officer of Transport for London, expressed condolences on behalf of the organization, highlighting the tragedy of the incident and reiterating their commitment to safety.

The organization is collaborating with police on the ongoing investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward by contacting 101 and quoting CAD 8411.
