Russian Army Expands but Declines in Quality, Says NATO Official
NATO military leader highlights reduced combat effectiveness of Russian forces
Admiral Rob Bauer, the Chair of NATO's Military Committee, stated that while Russia's land forces have increased in size since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, their quality has diminished.
Bauer pointed out the decline in the state of Russian military equipment and the training level of their soldiers.
He noted that, due to this decrease in quality, Russia does not pose the same level of threat as it did in 2022, allowing NATO some time to bolster its defense capabilities through increased investments in the defense industry.
