Unidentified Drones Spotted Over UK Airbases

Between November 20 and 22, unidentified drones were observed over three UK airbases: RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk, and RAF Feltwell in Norfolk.

The US Air Force, which operates at these locations, confirmed the sightings of small unmanned aerial systems (UASs).

While the number and type of drones varied, they were closely monitored.

The USAF stated that none of the drone incursions affected base residents or critical infrastructure.

Although the US Air Force has not disclosed specific defense actions, it asserts the right to protect its installations.

Coordination with local authorities is ongoing to ensure the safety of personnel and facilities.

The British Ministry of Defence confirmed its commitment to counter-drone measures but refrained from detailing specific security protocols.
