Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, is once again under scrutiny due to his association with a businessman, referred to as H6, who has been banned from the United Kingdom on suspicions of espionage for China. H6, whose identity remains undisclosed, was described in court documents as a 'close confidant' of Prince Andrew, having been invited to the Duke's birthday celebration in 2020 and authorized to represent him in discussions with potential Chinese investors. The UK's domestic intelligence agency, MI5, identified H6 as a national security threat, citing his alleged connections to the United Front Work Department, an entity of the Chinese Communist Party known for conducting influence operations abroad.

The relationship between Prince Andrew and H6 reportedly developed during a period when the Duke was confronting significant personal and financial pressures, notably following his association with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. This context may have rendered him more susceptible to external influences seeking to exploit his status within the royal family.
