Body of Judo Olympian's Brother Found in River as Family Pays Tribute

The body of Luis Piovesana, 26, has been discovered in the River Frome in Bristol, England, three days after he was reported missing.
Authorities recovered his body on March 3, following extensive search efforts that included community involvement and police assistance.
Piovesana's sister, Lubjana, previously competed for Great Britain in judo before representing Austria at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Mr. Piovesana was last seen on February 28 at approximately 3:00 AM at Eastgate retail park, having taken a taxi from a location nearby in Little Ann Street, St Jude’s. In the days following his disappearance, his family engaged in a search effort, urging the community to check their gardens and sheds for any sign of him.
Police mounted units and drone teams aided in the search, while officers conducted underwater investigations in the River Frome near the M32 motorway.
The investigation into Mr. Piovesana's disappearance is ongoing, with detectives looking into his last known movements, which have been described by family as uncharacteristic of his typical behavior.
A post-mortem examination has been scheduled to ascertain the exact cause of death, which remains currently unexplained.
Detective Inspector Pete Walker, the senior investigating officer, expressed condolences to the family and thanked all parties involved in the search.
According to police, no evidence has been found to suggest suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr. Piovesana's death, nor any connection to other missing persons cases.
The authorities are preparing a report for the coroner while requesting respect for the privacy of the grieving family.
