Missouri Woman Charged in Graceland Ownership Fraud Scheme

A Missouri woman, Lisa Jeanine Findley, faces federal charges for allegedly defrauding Elvis Presley's family and attempting to steal their ownership interest in Graceland. The DOJ claims she fabricated loan documents and forged signatures to falsely claim that Lisa Marie Presley had defaulted on a loan using Graceland as collateral. A Tennessee judge has blocked an auction sale, confirming no validity to the claims.
A Missouri woman, Lisa Jeanine Findley, faces federal charges for allegedly attempting to defraud Elvis Presley's family and steal their ownership interest in Graceland.

Graceland, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is a historic estate formerly owned by the legendary singer.

Findley, 53, has been charged with mail fraud and aggravated identity theft.

If proven guilty, she could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.

The US Justice Department (DOJ) alleges Findley used various aliases and posed as representatives of a fictitious private lender, Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC.

She falsely claimed that Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis's daughter who passed away in January 2023, had taken a loan of three point eight million dollars, using Graceland as collateral, and had defaulted on it.

The DOJ claims Findley fabricated loan documents, forged Lisa Marie Presley's signature, and published a fraudulent foreclosure notice.

Riley Keough, Lisa Marie Presley's daughter, contested these claims in court, and a Tennessee judge blocked the auction of Graceland.

The Presley family has not commented publicly on the case.

Graceland, now a National Historic Landmark and public museum, attracts around 600,000 visitors annually.

Elvis Presley lived at Graceland from 1957 until his death in 1977.

He is buried there, along with his parents, Lisa Marie Presley, and her son, Benjamin Keough.

Efforts to reach Ms. Findley's attorney were unsuccessful.
