Measures include restrictions on Iran Air's flights to the UK and Europe, and travel bans and asset freezes on Iranians accused of aiding Russia.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in London with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, stated that Russian forces had been trained by Iran to use the Fath-360 missile system.
Both Blinken and Lammy warned of the significant and dangerous escalation as Iran's missiles could soon be deployed against Ukraine.
The sanctions also target Brig Gen Seyed Hamzeh Ghalandari and others linked to Iran's defense exports, as well as Russian ships transporting military supplies from Iran.
Several organizations involved in producing Iran's kamikaze-style Shahed drones have also been sanctioned.
The Western states labeled Iran's actions as a direct threat to European security, while Iran dismissed the allegations as false.
This comes as Russia continues its advance in eastern Ukraine, nearing the key settlement of Pokrovsk.
Despite UK PM Sir Keir Starmer's support for Ukraine, President Zelensky has criticized the slow pace of Western weapon deliveries.
Blinken and Lammy plan to visit Ukraine to discuss further support with Ukrainian leaders.
