A former orthopaedic surgeon at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, Dr. Yaser Jabbar, has been investigated for potentially harming 721 children, prompting his removal from a health conference in Dubai.

Jabbar was scheduled to speak at the MENA International Orthopaedic Congress, but following the revelations, his name has been erased from the event's website.

Great Ormond Street Hospital initiated an external review in 2022 after complaints from patients and staff, and it has found that out of 39 cases reviewed so far, 22 children experienced harm, including severe injuries.

Jabbar now works in Dubai and is employed by Orthocure in the UAE.

Families affected have sought legal advice and demand the full Royal College of Surgeons report.
