Kate Bush expressed her eagerness to work on new music, following her last album in two thousand eleven. She shared this during a BBC interview while launching 'Little Shrew,' an animated film to support War Child, inspired by global conflicts such as the Ukraine invasion. Despite plans to return to music, Bush is not considering live performances yet.
Iconic singer-songwriter Kate Bush announced her intention to create new music, marking her return to the creative space after a hiatus.
Her last studio album, '50 Words for Snow,' was released in 2011.
Bush discussed her plans in a BBC Radio 4 interview with Emma Barnett, during the launch of her new animated short film, 'Little Shrew,' which supports War Child, a charity for children affected by conflict.
The film, inspired partly by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, is available on her official website and uses her 2011 song 'Snowflake' as its soundtrack.
Bush, known for hits like 'Wuthering Heights,' gained renewed popularity after 'Running Up That Hill' featured in Netflix's Stranger Things.
Despite feeling ready to create new music, Bush dismissed suggestions to perform live again, humorously admitting she's 'not there yet.'
