Iran Denies Missile Deliveries to Russia Amid New Sanctions
Iran's foreign minister denies delivering ballistic missiles to Russia following new sanctions from the US and European powers. Abbas Araqchi criticized these sanctions, claiming they would not solve any issues. The Kremlin also dismissed claims of missile transfers from Iran.
Iran's foreign minister, Abbas Araqchi, asserted on Wednesday that Tehran has not delivered ballistic missiles to Russia.
This declaration follows the United States, Germany, Britain, and France imposing new sanctions on Iran, including measures against its national airline, Iran Air.
Araqchi criticized these sanctions, stating they would not solve issues between Iran and these countries.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had previously claimed that Russia had received Iranian missiles and may use them in Ukraine within weeks.
The Kremlin also refuted these claims, calling them baseless.
Additionally, the Netherlands summoned the Iranian ambassador and called for new EU sanctions.
