A gas canister explosion at a food stall during the Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan festival in Southall resulted in multiple injuries and the abrupt cancellation of the event.
The incident occurred shortly before 1 PM on Sunday as large crowds gathered on South Road to celebrate the Sikh holiday of Vaisakhi, which marks the formation of the Khalsa and a significant aspect of Sikh identity.
