OpenAI has launched a new iteration of ChatGPT, a chatbot capable of producing images from intricate and detailed instructions.

This innovation allows the chatbot to swiftly generate sophisticated cartoons based on character descriptions, panels, and dialogue.

The revamped ChatGPT reflects a larger evolution in artificial intelligence, where chatbots are becoming versatile tools that incorporate text-based interactions alongside functionalities like image and video processing.

The core technology, referred to as GPT-4o, enables the chatbot to process and react to voice commands, images, and videos, as well as participate in verbal discussions.

Originally released in 2022, ChatGPT was trained on extensive text data sourced from the internet, granting it the ability to respond to queries, compose poetry, and create computer code.

Nonetheless, it was not capable of producing images until the introduction of a later version, DALL-E.

The new system merges text and image generation capabilities, leveraging the wide-ranging knowledge that ChatGPT has gained from online data.

This development is anticipated to boost the chatbot's effectiveness, especially in crafting original images that significantly differ from existing ones.

OpenAI has revealed that the updated version of ChatGPT will be accessible to users of both the free and paid tiers of the service, including ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Pro, beginning Tuesday.
