President Trump Prolongs TikTok Sale Deadline by 75 Days

ByteDance has been given more time to complete the sale of its U.S. operations as negotiations continue.
President Donald Trump has issued an executive order that extends ByteDance's deadline by 75 days to divest its American operations.

This action postpones a possible prohibition on the widely-used video-sharing app, which was initially scheduled to commence on April 5, 2025. The extension allows more time for discussions focused on reconfiguring TikTok's U.S. operations under a different ownership structure.
