Police Investigate Unexplained Death After Disturbance in Foxbar, Renfrewshire
A 19-year-old man has been arrested following the death of a 21-year-old man after reports of a disturbance in Paisley, Renfrewshire.
Emergency services were called to Maree Road and Lochbroom Drive in the Foxbar area at approximately 4:15 PM on Saturday.
Upon arrival, a 21-year-old man was found seriously injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland has classified the death as currently unexplained, and the victim's next of kin have been notified.
The 19-year-old has been arrested in connection with an assault, and inquiries are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Detective Inspector Euan McMillan stated, 'Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident, however there is no threat to the wider public.
Officers will remain in the area as inquiries are carried out and anyone with any concerns can approach them.'
Prior to the reported disturbance, a video had surfaced on social media appearing to show fireworks being thrown in the vicinity earlier on Saturday.
Investigations continue as police work to piece together events leading up to the incident.
