Business Secretary Kemi Badenoch informed BBC's Laura Kuenssberg that she dismissed the Post Office chairman due to the necessity to overhaul the entire business model.
"Despite the challenges of being asked to leave a role, I concluded that with the Post Office’s troubles, which go beyond the Horizon issue, we require a chairperson capable of leading a board to address these effectively," Badenoch stated. "The current situation was unsustainable."
