But stars from reality TV shows like “The Bachelor” and the “The Real Housewives” franchises - who might not have the same level of name recognition - still can earn millions per year from sponsored posts on Instagram.

Top reality television stars earn between $5,000 and $15,000 for a single Instagram post, according to research conducted by Mediakix. The average reality TV star in this tier posted 7.4 sponsored posts per month, which means on the low end they would earn $37,000 per month, or $444,000 in a year, from social media marketing. If their sponsored posts pay in the mid-to-high range, they could earn even more: $888,000 to $1.33 million per year. Meghan King Edmonds


* Estimated cost per post: $1,500

Former “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star Meghan King Edmonds is no longer on reality TV, but she’s amassed enough of a social following to profit from her stint on the Bravo show. With 961,000 followers, Edmonds earns $1,500 per social post, according to Jezebel.

In a given month, the mom and business owner may post about three sponsored posts for brands that include Teami, DIFF Eyewear and Effy Jewelry. She could potentially rake in $4,500 from Instagram in a month, or about $54,000 in a year.


Scheana Marie


* Estimated cost per post: $1,500

“Vanderpump Rules” star Scheana Marie charges $1,500 to share a sponsored post with her 1.1 million followers, according to Jezebel. In the past, Marie has posted an average of one sponsored post per month, with sponsors including DIFF Eyewear. At that rate, the Bravo star could earn $18,000 a year from Instagram posts.


Blac Chyna


* Estimated cost per post: $2,000

Former stripper and model Blac Chyna gained fame through her associations with rapper Tyga and the Kardashians. But she has become a well-known name herself, with an Instagram following of 16 million.

Chyna charges $2,000 for a single Instagram post, according to Jezebel. In the past, the influencer has posted up to 18 branded posts in a single month, promoting Fashion Nova, Flat Tummy Tea, Tunes, Bodyblendz and 138 Water. That adds up to an estimated $36,000 per month and $432,000 yearly.


Lisa Rinna


* Estimated cost per post: $3,000

Being a “Real Housewife” comes with a big price tag, but sponsored Instagram posts can help offset some of those costs. Soap star and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Rinna has Instagram advertising deals with Teami Blends and White With Style teeth whitening kits thanks to her 2.1 million Instagram followers. The reality star — who has posted about one sponsored post per month — earns an average of $3,000 per post, which translates to an annual Insta income of about $36,000.


Jenny McCarthy


* Estimated cost per post: $3,500

Actress and host Jenny McCarthy can earn $3,500 for a single Instagram sponsored ad, according to Jezebel. The SiriusXM personality — who has 1.3 million followers — has sponsorships with Teami Blends and Planet Fitness. In the past, she has posted about one sponsored Instagram post per month. At that rate, her Instagram earnings can be as much as $42,000 for the year.


Becca Tilley


* Estimated cost per post: $5,000 to $15,000

Becca Tilley appeared on two seasons of “The Bachelor” — season 19 with Chris Soules and season 20 with Ben Higgins. Though she didn’t get the final rose either time, she was a fan favorite and parlayed her time as a “Bachelor” star into a career as a blogger, YouTuber and social media influencer. She has 1.1 million followers on Instagram alone.

Tilley has gained sponsorships from brands that include Charmin and Mural Cerveza. In the past, she has posted an average of three sponsored posts every month, according to Mediakix, which means she can earn up to $45,000 in a given month. With those monthly earnings, Tilley can make up to $540,000 a year from Instagram.


Lauren Bushnell

Lauren Bushnell won over viewers — and “Bachelor” Ben Higgins — when she appeared on season 20 of the show. The couple even got a spin-off show, “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?” Although the couple has since split, Bushnell’s Instagram popularity remains. The lifestyle blogger is one of the most followed “Bachelor” contestants, with 1.3 million followers.

Bushnell posts an average of four sponsored posts per month, according to Mediakix. That’s an average monthly income of up to $60,000 just for her Instagram activity. That adds up to $720,000 per year — so she’s definitely made up for the high cost of being on “The Bachelor.” In the past, her sponsors have included Secret, ThirdLove, McDonald’s and ThredUP.


Ashley Iaconetti


* Estimated cost per post: $5,000 to $15,000

Ashley Iaconetti has appeared on numerous shows from “The Bachelor” franchise, including season 19 of the main show, two seasons of “Bachelor in Paradise,” and the inaugural season of “The Bachelor Winter Games.” Best known for her frequent displays of emotion, the reality star has amassed over 1.1 million Instagram followers.

In the past, Iaconetti has gained Instagram sponsorship from major brands including Olay, MTV, Head & Shoulders and Dermalogica. With an average of six sponsored posts per month, she’s poised to rack up as much as $90,000 in a month, or up to $1.08 million per year from her Instagram posts, according to the Mediakix data.


Teresa Giudice

An original member of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast, Teresa Giudice has had her ups and downs chronicled on TV, from serving jail time for tax evasion to becoming a best-selling author and bodybuilding champion. The mom of four has accumulated 1.7 million Instagram followers over the years, which puts her in the top tier of social media influencers.

With an average of seven sponsored posts per month, according to Mediakix, Giudice can make anywhere from $35,000 per month on the low end to $105,000 per month on the high end, according to the Mediakix data. That means she can potentially earn $1.26 million from social media posts in a given year. Her sponsors have included Flat Tummy Tea, BlanQuil, SugarBearHair and Hand MD.


Jade Roper


* Estimated cost per post: $5,000 to $15,000

Jade Roper’s wild Playboy past might have been the reason Chris Soules didn’t give her the final rose during season 19 of “The Bachelor,” but she still got her happily ever after. Roper met her now-husband Tanner Tolbert on “Bachelor in Paradise,” and the couple even has two “Bachelor” babies. Fans loved her redemptive love story, and the reality-star-turned-podcast-host now has over 1.2 million followers.

With an average of nine sponsored posts per month, Roper can potentially earn up to $135,000 in a month, or $1.62 million in a year, according to the Mediakix data. Her Instagram sponsors include Nutrisystem, Lull, Seattle’s Best Coffee and Lord & Taylor.


Amanda Stanton

Amanda Stanton didn’t win over Ben Higgins on season 20 of “The Bachelor,” but the single mom of two was a fan favorite on the show. Stanton gained even more popularity by appearing on two seasons of the summer spin-off show, “Bachelor in Paradise.”

The reality star and YouTuber now has 1.2 million Instagram followers, and with an average of 10 sponsored posts per month, she can rack up as much as $150,000 in a single month, or $1.8 million in a year, according to Mediakix data. In the past, Stanton’s celebrity endorsement deals have included RocksBox, Herbal Essences, Sperry Top-Sider and ThredUP.


Stephanie Pratt


* Estimated cost per post: $7,000

Stephanie Pratt became a reality star in the U.S. when she appeared on “The Hills,” and gained fame across the pond when she appeared on “Made in Chelsea.” Pratt — who has 918,000 Instagram followers — makes an average of $7,000 per sponsored post, according to Jezebel.

Though the reality star doesn’t explicitly label her posts as ads, she often tags clothing and beauty brands in her posts, which she likely gets a kickback for. With about four sponsored posts per month, Pratt can make $28,000 in a month, or $336,000 a year.


Scott Disick


* Estimated cost per post: up to $20,000

Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Scott Disick has more Instagram posts promoting his own brands. But that doesn’t mean he never takes an opportunity to make some cash on the side. With 22.7 million followers, Disick earns up to $20,000 for a single post, according to Jezebel. His sponsors have included Monet Brand and Boom Bod.


Emily Ratajkowski


* Estimated cost per post: $80,700

Self-described as a model, actress and feminist, Emily Ratajkowski is also a designer. She and her best pal, fashion veteran Kat Mendenhall, dreamed up and launched the brand Inamorata Woman— a body-conscious collection with a beachy attitude designed to fit every woman’s form. The brand was inspired by the pair’s Southern California upbringing, which included living in swimsuits during the summer months.

Ratajkowski’s sponsored posts, which go out to her 24.1 million followers, include Kerastase and Paco Rabanne Parfums. The model and designer posts for brands other than her own about twice per month, which translates into $161,400 per month — a $1.9 million annual Instagram income.


Bella Hadid


* Estimated cost per post: $86,300

Bella Hadid, with 25.9 million followers on Instagram, is known for her career as a fashion model. Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, is a former fashion model, and her sister, Gigi Hadid, is also a fashion model. Bella has walked the runway for some of the world’s top fashion designers, including Givenchy, Chanel, Versace, Dior and Fendi. She has also graced the covers of a variety of magazines, including Vogue, Elle, Glamour and Allure.

The fashion model’s sponsored posts include Michael Kors and Calvin Klein, and she appears to post about twice per month. At her per-post rate of $86,300, she can pull in $172,600 per month, or $2 million per year, from Instagram.


Stephen Curry


* Estimated cost per post: $142,000

Stephen Curry, the basketball player who led his team, the Golden State Warriors, to three NBA Championships, is no slouch when it comes to making bank on Instagram. The athlete and entrepreneur — who has 27 million followers — makes $142,000 per Instagram post, according to Hopper HQ.

Curry’s sponsors include Under Armour, Palm and Rakuten, and he posts two to three sponsored posts per month. At just two sponsored posts per month, Instagram profits for this basketball star can total up to $284,000 per month, which is $3.4 million per year.


Conor McGregor


* Estimated cost per post: $169,000

MMA fighter Conor McGregor has amassed 31.7 million followers during his time on Instagram. According to Hopper HQ, McGregor is one of the highest-paid athletes per Instagram post.

McGregor has had a wide range of paid partnerships, including Burger King, HiSmile and Monster Energy. If McGregor only posts an average of two sponsored Instagram posts per month, he could potentially earn $338,000 per month, which is over $4 million in a year.


Khloe Kardashian


* Estimated cost per post: $598,000

Although Khloe Kardashian doesn’t make as much as her famous siblings, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner, do for their sponsored content on Instagram, she still brings in a considerable amount at almost $600,000 per post, according to Hopper HQ.

Khloe also has an impressive 98.6 million followers on Instagram. With just two sponsored posts per month, this Kardashian can earn $1.2 million per month, or $14.3 million per year, from Instagram.


Kendall Jenner


* Estimated cost per post: $611,000

Fashion model and reality star Kendall Jenner got her modeling debut at Sherri Hill’s Spring 2012 Fashion Show two years before she graduated from high school in 2014. At the young age of 23, Jenner has amassed 116 million followers on her Instagram account and gets paid $611,000 per post, according to Hopper HQ.

A quick scan of Jenner’s Instagram posts over one week yielded six sponsored posts. Jenner promotes brands like Longchamp, Aritzia, Proactiv and Stuart Weitzman. If Jenner just did six sponsored Instagram posts per month, she would pull in $3.6 million per month — for a total of $43.9 million a year.


Nicki Minaj


* Estimated cost per post: $651,000

In September 2019, Nicki Minaj shocked fans with a tweet that she was going to retire from music to have a family. Not even a day later, Minaj apologized for the tweet, saying it was insensitive and that she would address her plans later.

Whether or not Minaj will pivot away from her music career in pursuit of other dreams remains a mystery, but her success on Instagram is clear. With 106 million followers, Minaj earns $651,000 per social post, according to Hopper HQ.

Minaj’s most recent sponsored Instagram posts included her collaboration with Fendi, totaling up to six posts so far in September. If Minaj were to do an average of six sponsored posts per month, she would bring in $3.9 million per month, a total of $46.8 million per year.


Neymar da Silva Santos Jr.


* Estimated cost per post: $722,000

In 2016, Brazilian soccer player Neymar da Silva Santos Jr. helped Brazil win its first Olympic gold medal for men’s soccer in Rio. Neymar, who now plays for Paris Saint-Germain, has 125 million followers on his Instagram account and gets paid $722,000 per Instagram post, according to Hopper HQ.

Neymar promotes brands like Nike and does about two sponsored posts per month, for about $1.44 million. In one year, Neymar could potentially make $17.3 million on Instagram.


Selena Gomez


* Estimated cost per post: $886,000

Pop star Selena Gomez is one of the most followed people of Instagram with 157 million followers. She also ranks No. 5 on Hopper HQ’s Instagram Rich List 2019.

Gomez — who has amassed an impressive fortune from a variety of money-making avenues — only posts an average of one sponsored Instagram post per month, promoting brands like Coach and Puma. But she can still earn $10.6 million in a year because of her high rate for a single post.


Kim Kardashian West


* Estimated cost per post: $910,000

Kim Kardashian West is one of the highest-paid social media influencers within her family, coming in second place only to Kylie. She is well-known for posting about her brands, such as KKW Beauty and Skims shapewear on Instagram. But she posts for other brands, too.

Kardashian West — who has 148 million followers — makes $910,000 from a single Instagram post, according to Hopper HQ. Her past and current sponsors include Flat Tummy Co., Hi Smile and SugarBearHair.

At her current rates, if Kim only does three sponsored posts per month, the reality star can earn up to $2.7 million per month and $32.7 million in a year from Instagram profits alone.


Cristiano Ronaldo


* Estimated cost per post: $975,000

Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo ranks No. 2 for the most followers on Instagram, at 184 million, according to Brandwatch. Ronaldo’s sponsored rate for a single Instagram post is $975,000.

The soccer superstar’s Instagram promotions include brands such as CR7 and CLEAR hair care, and he averages about two sponsored posts per month. At his high sponsored rate, Ronaldo can pull in $1.95 million monthly, for a total of $23.4 million per year.


Kylie Jenner


* Estimated cost per post: $1.26 million

Kylie Jenner is a self-made billionaire, thanks in large part to her lucrative cosmetics line. But the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star is also making a pretty penny from her social media posts. The youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan — who has 146 million followers — makes $1.26 million from a single Instagram post, according to Hopper HQ.

Jenner’s sponsors include Adidas, and she has also done posts for Teami Blends, Calvin Klein and Bondi Sands. The billionaire beauty mogul posts about two sponsored posts per month. That means the reality star can earn $2.5 million per month, or a little over $30 million in a year, from Instagram profits alone.
