UK Government Announces Electricity VAT Cut and £2 Bus Fare Cap

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced that the 5% VAT on domestic electricity bills in Great Britain will be removed from October 1, with a £2 single bus fare cap across England due to begin in January 2027.
