King Hosts First Official Engagement Following Cancer Treatment Recovery
King Charles III presides over an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle after a brief hospital stay due to treatment side effects.
King Charles III will host his first public engagement since undergoing treatment for cancer side effects when he presides over an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.
This event is designed to recognize notable figures and community contributors for their significant efforts.
The King was photographed in good spirits as he left Clarence House in central London, where he stayed overnight with the Queen.
This appearance follows a recent brief hospital visit related to a 'minor bump' during his treatment journey.
On Friday, the King cancelled a scheduled away-day in Birmingham to focus on his recovery after experiencing temporary side effects that necessitated a short period of hospital observation at the London Clinic.
In the coming days, King Charles is expected to engage in a series of public and private appointments as well as state duties.
Some of these engagements have been rescheduled to maintain a manageable workload ahead of a busy state visit to Italy next week.
On Wednesday, the King will conduct official duties at Buckingham Palace and hold his weekly audience with the Prime Minister.
The following day, he will participate in a public engagement in Windsor and commemorate the 80th anniversary of the humanitarian air operator Mission Aviation Fellowship at an event at RAF Northolt in west London.
Preparations for the state visit to Italy will occupy the King on Friday.
However, the planned separate state visit to the Holy See has been postponed due to the Pope recovering from recent pneumonia.
