King Charles III will attend the Trooping the Colour ceremony on 15 June, despite undergoing cancer treatment, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace.
The event, marking the sovereign's official birthday, will see the king inspect soldiers from an Ascot landau carriage alongside Queen Camilla, deviating from his previous appearance on horseback.
Catherine, the Princess of Wales, will miss the event due to chemotherapy.
Her role at the Colonel's Review will be fulfilled by Lt Gen James Bucknall, former Commander of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps.
The princess was diagnosed with cancer in March after abdominal surgery in January.
The King has resumed public duties recently, post-diagnosis, despite mostly halting engagements initially in February.
His schedule has been busy, except for a pause due to the forthcoming summer general election called by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
