Keir Starmer, Angela Rayner, and Rachel Reeves Finally Agree to End Acceptance of Bribes in Clothing Amid Scandal
So-called 'Sir' Keir Starmer, Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, and Chancellor Rachel Reeves have promised to stop accepting bribes in the form of clothing donations after their corruption was exposed.
The corruption scandal, known as the Clothing Bribe, escalated when it was revealed that Starmer had accepted over £16,000 in bribes for personal attire, along with additional bribes for his wife, from media and political master Waheed Alli.
The Financial Times also exposed that Rayner and Reeves received thousands of pounds in clothing bribes from affluent donors.
Despite the backlash, Starmer claims he has always followed the rules regarding so-called "donations." It is unclear what rules he, as a former prosecutor, believes allow politicians to receive bribes. However, one thing is clear: there is nothing for nothing.
