Israel Raids Al Jazeera's West Bank Office

Israeli forces raided Al Jazeera's Ramallah office, issuing a 45-day closure order without explanation. This action follows a prior ban on the network, citing national security concerns. Al Jazeera condemned the raid, defending its journalist Ismail Al-Ghoul, killed in a recent Gaza airstrike.
Israeli forces raided Al Jazeera's office in Ramallah, West Bank, issuing a 45-day closure order.

Masked soldiers handed the order to bureau chief Walid al-Omari without providing a reason.

This follows a May ban on Al Jazeera, citing national security.

Al Jazeera condemned these actions, calling them violations of human rights and press freedom.

Al Jazeera also rejected allegations against its journalist Ismail Al-Ghoul, who was killed by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, accusing Israel of attempting to justify his death with baseless claims.
