Those of you keen to cut ties with Apple Music might be wondering how exactly to go about ending your subscripton.

Here is everything you need to know about ending the service – and cheaper plans for those of you who aren’t ready to let go just yet.

It is really easy to end your subscription


You can cancel your subscription straight from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch by following these steps:

1. Open up ‘Settings’

2. Tap on your name icon

3. Select ‘Subscriptions’

4. Scroll down and tap on ‘Apple Music’

5. Click ‘Cancel Subscription’

Alternatively, you can cancel your subscription on the Apple Music website.

Sign into your account at the top of the page, and click on the ‘Account’ icon.

Then select ‘Settings’, scroll to ‘Subscriptions’ and select ‘Manage’.

Next, choose ‘Cancel Subscription’.

What is the cheapest Apple Music plan?


Apple has a tiered Apple Music subscription service, with the cheapest option (besides the student plan) being the Apple Music Voice Plan at £4.99 a month.

The plan differs from the other Apple Music subscriptions as it has been designed to be used exclusively with Siri.

To subscribe to the Apple Music Voice Plan, users can use Siri and say ‘Hey Siri, start my Apple Music Voice trial’ or by signing up via the Apple Music app.

With the Apple Music Voice Plan, users can play music across all Siri-enabled devices, including HomePod mini, AirPods, iPhone, and any other Apple device, as well as when using CarPlay.

The only difference is that the plan doesn’t allow you to download any music – which means that you can’t listen while offline.
