G7 Blames Russia for Stalling Ukraine Peace Efforts
G7 Marks 1,000 Days of Russian Invasion
The Group of Seven (G7) industrialized nations, currently led by Italy, announced that Russia alone is hindering a fair resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.
In a statement marking 1,000 days since the Russian invasion, the G7 asserted, 'Russia remains the sole obstacle to just and lasting peace.' The group, which includes Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, and the United States, reaffirmed its commitment to imposing significant costs on Russia through sanctions and other measures.
The G7 emphasized its unwavering support for Ukraine and solidarity in defending its sovereignty, freedom, and territorial integrity while acknowledging the global impact of Russia's aggression.
