Urgent Call from William Burns as Kyiv Braces for Russian Summer Offensive.

CIA Director William Burns warned lawmakers on Capitol Hill that Ukraine could lose the war against Russia by the end of 2024 if they don't approve aid for Kyiv's war efforts.
Burns urged the passage of a supplemental bill to provide billions in military assistance to Ukraine, stating that it would boost Ukrainian morale and capability to hold their own against Russia until 2024.

A senior US official, William Burns, has issued a dire warning about the ongoing war in Ukraine, stating that if Congress does not provide additional military aid, Ukraine could lose the battle by the end of 2024 or face unfavorable political settlement terms.

Kyiv officials have also expressed concern about an impending Russian offensive this summer, which could overwhelm Ukrainian soldiers.

The warning comes a day after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy presented a foreign aid package, which is currently uncertain due to the need for securing votes for floor debate.

On Wednesday, top US officials, including Gen. C.Q. Brown, Lloyd Austin, and President Joe Biden, urged Congress to pass Ukraine aid bills without delay.

They emphasized that Ukraine's progress in the war against Russia could be reversed without US support, and allies might question America's reliability if the aid is not approved.

The administration has previously blamed the lack of passage of these bills for Kyiv's struggles on the battlefield.
