Prince Harry has taken legal action against the UK Home Office, challenging the modification in his security when in the UK. The court was told Harry did not view leaving his role as a full-time royal as a choice but a necessity due to safety concerns. Harry's main argument is that he wants the UK to be a safe place for his children, but that’s not achievable under the current security provisions. The final judgment in the case, held in private due to sensitive security details, is pending.

Government representatives maintain that the security changes are appropriate and should be tailored on a case-by-case basis without a full Risk Management Board analysis. They claim that the bespoke process considered by Ravec is more effective for each specific visit. The outcome will be decided by Mr. Justice Lane at a later time. This legal battle is one of several that Prince Harry is currently engaged in, with other ongoing lawsuits against newspaper publishers.
