London Underground and Overground closures on October 19 and October 20

London Underground and Overground closures on October 19 and October 20

Transport for London (TfL) will be making a number of Tube stations exit and interchange only on Saturday

The London Underground is set to be heaving this weekend as a march in support of a people's vote on Brexit takes place.

Protesters demanding a final say on Brexit in the form of another referendum will be congregating along Park Lane between Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner Tube stations at midday on Saturday.

As a result Transport for London (TfL) will be making a number of Tube stations exit and interchange only to manage crowds safely.

The restriction will apply to Marble Arch, Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge and Green Park from 11am and Westminster station from 2pm.

However TfL warns other nearby stations will also be exceptionally busy and may be made exit or interchange only during the day.

They include Bond Street, Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square, Charing Cross, Embankment, Piccadilly Circus, Waterloo, St James’s Park, Vauxhall and Victoria.

Apart from the general chaos the Brexit march is set to cause on Saturday there will be a number of service closures on Saturday and Sunday affecting the London Underground, Overground, DLR, London Trams and TfL Rail.
