2. Bruce Castle Museum

Opened in 1906 and placed on one of the four statutory lists, the Bruce Castle is a 16th-century manor house-turned-museum and one of the oldest surviving English brick houses. With the help of local archives and various classes prepped for the year ahead, the museum is a great place to be for all history and culture lovers.

Surrounded by 20 acres of green park land, the manor welcomes visitors to experience the life of the Bruce dynasty – the family who owned the grounds before Robert I of Scotland forfeited his lands in England, including the Bruce holdings in Tottenham.

Although walk-in slots are available, it’s best to book a visit in advance to permanent galleries and exhibitions. Most importantly, there is no entrance fee.

The museum is open on Wednesday through Sunday, 1:30pm to 5pm.

3. Beavertown Brewery’s Taproom

After an exciting refurbishment, the Beavertown Taproom now features two separate seating areas indoors and a fully covered outdoor drinking space – all designed to highlight Beavertown's iconic otherworldly aesthetics.

4. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

From £24 for an adult, the stadium tour takes you in the footsteps of your favourite players and lets you see what goes down behind the scenes. You’ll get to understand what it takes for the players to prepare on a matchday and navigate your way through different areas, be it the first team changing rooms, the dugouts or even the manager’s office.

The stadium also offers a 90-minute experience of scaling the height of 46.8 metres above the ground and around the iconic golden cockerel for £35 a person. If you’re brave enough, you’re welcome to upgrade the experience with a 42-metre controlled descent from the top of the Stadium for an additional £18.

5. Walthamstow Wetlands

Comprising ten reservoirs and 211 hectares in size, the Walthamstow Wetlands has been turned into Europe’s largest urban wetland reserve. Though the name might suggest it isn't located in Tottenham at all, it’s actually closer than one might think, with one of the four entrances only a ten-minute walk away from Tottenham Hale and Blackhorse Road stations.

The reserve locates a broad range of habitats and experiences – windswept views, dense scrub-lined banks, and a largest fishery in London, just to name a few. Home for a variety of species, such as bank voles, wood butterflies, cormorants, and so many more, the Walthamstow Wetlands creates a magnificent haven that you wouldn’t be able to experience in central London.

The reserve is open from 9:30am to 4pm every single day and a visit there doesn’t cost a single penny.
