Ultra-Modern London Mansion With Pool and Tennis Court Asks £40 Million
The home is now among the most expensive on the market in the U.K.. A sprawling mansion in London hit the market Wednesday with an eight-figure asking price, making it one of the most expensive listings on the market in the U.K.
With its £40 million (US$51.3 million) price tag, glitzy interiors and contemporary facade, the property-dubbed Heathfield House-looks like it would be better suited for the Hollywood Hills than the posh north London enclave of Highgate.
“Built in 2011 and set back from the road by a long manicured driveway, the vendor has created a home perfect for entertaining,” listing agent Craig Draper, Hampstead office head at Knight Frank, said in a statement.
Spread across three floors and fitted with a glass elevator, the main house has open-plan living areas, a double-height formal dining area, a statement staircase and an indoor pool and spa, according to the listing, that Knight Frank shares with Sotheby’s International Realty.
There is also a gym, a games room, a tennis court and a roof terrace with views over the gardens and nearby Hampstead Heath.
Online listings didn’t disclose the exact size of the home, but the self-contained staff lodge alone spans 4,400 square feet, the listing said.
The home is being sold by metal tycoon Aleksandr Bronstein, according to property records. He could not be reached for comment.
It’s not clear when Mr. Bronstein acquired the property, but he reportedly spent several years and upward of £30 million building the two-acre compound.
“The new owner has a great opportunity to put their own personality into the property, with scope to reconfigure the house to suit their lifestyle,” Mr. Draper said.
