Manchester's Co-op Live arena unexpectedly cancelled the opening concert of rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie due to technical reasons, leaving thousands of fans disappointed and confused.
This is the latest incident in a series of problems for the £365m venue.
Olivia Rodrigo's shows this weekend were also cancelled.
Fans expressed their frustration, with one calling it "very unprofessional" and another criticizing the "bad organization." The arena has yet to provide further information.
A 20-year-old man named Yasin paid £25 for parking and attended a rap concert expecting to see his favorite artist perform.
However, upon arrival, he was given a piece of paper announcing the show's cancellation with no prior online notification.
Yasin, who had been eagerly anticipating the event and had been listening to the rapper's music for two weeks, expressed disappointment and concern about the event's organization.
The venue later explained that the cancellation was due to a part of the heating and ventilation system coming loose during the soundcheck before the show.
A fan named Katie Barnsley from Kent had planned to attend a concert at the Etihad Campus in Manchester with her partner and his sister.
They had spent approximately £600 on tickets, accommodation, and petrol.
As they were about to take a tram to the arena, they were informed by a tram attendant that the concert had been cancelled.
Katie then checked Twitter and confirmed the news from the arena.
