London Daily · Our principles
Privacy Policy
Your information deserves discretion.
Updated 29 October 2026
What we use
We use the information needed to run London Daily: account and verification details, comments and recordings, listings, reports, saved preferences and technical information needed for security and delivery. The Exchange collects your name, email address, telephone number and a private verification selfie. Browsing does not require an Exchange account.
What becomes public
Published comments, their displayed names, recordings, transcripts and listing content can be seen, shared and indexed by others. Do not publish private details about yourself or anyone else. Exchange verification selfies are private. Advertisers’ email and telephone details are disclosed to signed-in, verified enquirers who request them; trader names and business addresses are public.
Why we use it
We use these details to provide the services you request, manage accounts, process contributions, verify advertisers, prevent abuse and investigate reports. Depending on the activity, the basis is performance of our service agreement, our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable publication, legal obligations or consent where required. Providing verification details is necessary to use verified Exchange features.
Service providers and AI
Hosting, recording, transcription, AI processing and verification providers receive the information necessary for their part of the service. Recordings may be processed remotely and copied to our server for publication. Providers may operate outside the UK. Third-party media you choose to open may apply its own privacy rules. Our policy is not to sell personal information or use private verification material for advertising or AI training.
Cookies and storage
Cookies support sessions and security. Browser storage remembers preferences, saved items and playback progress. Optional services may have separate storage requirements. You can clear site data in your browser; doing so may sign you out or remove saved preferences.
Keeping information
Account and contribution records are kept while needed to provide the service; security, moderation and transaction records may be retained to investigate disputes or meet legal duties. The Exchange’s private selfie checks use human review, not automated facial recognition. Reviewed selfies are scheduled for deletion after seven days; unreviewed submissions after thirty days. Removing something from this site cannot recall copies already saved elsewhere.
Your choices and rights
Where applicable, you have rights to access, correct, erase or obtain a copy of your personal information, restrict its use and withdraw consent. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Available account and listing controls let you manage those features; statutory rights are not limited by the controls provided.
