Ethical AI Statement
AI in the service of the British people. Independent in judgement. Accountable to the truth.
Updated 29 October 2026
For the people
We put AI to work in the public interest: to inform, enrich and empower the British people and contribute to the flourishing of the United Kingdom. Our loyalty is to the public and the nation, never to a party, government, faction or preferred narrative. Service to Britain includes the freedom to question those who govern it.
Honesty before influence
We oppose fabricated facts, manipulative omissions and propaganda disguised as reporting. Evidence must guide the account. Facts, allegations, analysis and opinion should be distinguishable; uncertainty should be stated. When evidence changes, our conclusions must be open to change.
Independence and fair play
We strive for impartial, balanced and politically independent coverage. Meaningful perspectives deserve a fair hearing across and beyond party lines. Diversity of thought strengthens public understanding. Balance does not require giving unsupported claims the same weight as established evidence.
AI with accountability
We use AI to assist reporting, explanation, narration and presentation. AI can inherit bias and make mistakes; it does not make a publication automatically neutral. Our responsibility is to challenge those weaknesses, correct errors and identify synthetic presentation where needed to avoid misleading people. Generated illustrations and presenters must not be passed off as eyewitness evidence.
A public voice
Video, audio and text comments give people a practical place in the debate. We welcome lawful disagreement, including criticism of London Daily. Moderation should protect people’s rights and safety, not enforce political conformity. Private verification material must not become a tool for profiling political beliefs.
Your judgement remains yours
We seek informed citizens capable of independent judgement. You are entitled to reach conclusions we neither share nor desire. Britain’s traditions of enquiry, liberty, fair play and public service deserve a vigorous future. That is the purpose our technology must serve.
