Prince Andrew bids farewell to 2019 with dog's backside Christmas card

Prince Andrew’s Christmas card allegedly bids farewell to 2019 with a dog’s backside, perhaps hinting that it has not been the best year for the duke.
Queen Elizabeth’s son’s Christmas card – released with ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York and daughters Beatrice and Eugenie – features an image of one of their Norfolk terriers in a bush showing its rear end to the camera, MailOnline claims.

This caption reads: ‘Say Goodbye to 2019.’

Another photo features what is believed to be the Queen’s Balmoral estate and a path through the Highlands, with the message: ‘We Look to the Road Ahead.’

Inside the white embossed card, there is also a printed message reading: ‘We are united with gratitude for your support and kindness, Thank you.’

Some of the Christmas cards have been sent with gifts from the family, including a pencil with a crown on top of the words ‘Duchess Doodles’ which runs down the side.

The Christmas card, apparently sent to household staff, is likely to be taken as a thinly-veiled reference to turbulent year Prince Andrew, 59, has experienced after Virginia Giuffre’s accusations that she was forced into sex with him after being trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke of York has categorically denied all claims.

In a ‘car crash interview’, the father-of-two was grilled on the allegations by BBC presenter Emily Maitlis.

He said he couldn’t sweat at the time, meaning there was ‘a slight problem’ with Mrs Guiffre’s claims that he had perspired ‘profusely’ during their encounter.

He also claimed he could not have had sex on the alleged date because he had taken his daughter to Pizza Express.

Prince Andrew was also criticised for not showing enough sympathy towards Epstein’s victims and for his refusal to express regret for his association with the child sex abuser.

He has offered to speak to the FBI in a bid to clear his name.

Wealthy financier Epstein killed himself at a New York jail earlier this year.
