Harry Seager, a 34-year-old from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, received £2 in compensation from Mars Wrigley UK after purchasing a Mars bar missing its iconic ripple.
The discovery, made en route to a car show in Birmingham, gained significant attention online, especially on the Dull Men's Club
Facebook page.
Despite Mars Wrigley not providing a specific explanation for the imperfection, the company informed Seager that the bar ‘slipped’ through the production line.
The compensation was considered quite sufficient by Seager, who plans to buy more Mars bars.
Mars bars have been produced in Slough, Berkshire, since 1932.
Seager’s online interactions revealed that the missing swirl was likely due to the bar bypassing an 'enrober' machine during production.
The story highlights Seager’s other preferences for confectionery, notably his dislike for certain flavors in Quality Street and Roses assortments.
