Chic Easter Table Decor Ideas That Will Impress Everyone

Designer-approved tips for a celebration to remember.

Arranging a festive Easter table is a great way to show off your creativity-take some thoughtful decorative accents, mix in an assortment of spring-appropriate hues and textures, and you’re all set. Here, some of our favorite design experts and entertaining gurus share their best Easter table decor tips to impress your loved ones, whether you’re hosting an elegant dinner or a laid-back brunch. Happy tablescaping!

Seek Out Sunshine

“Easter brunch can be festive and beautiful...and kicked back. I like to use my Ginori Vecchio china because I have serving pieces for lots of decadent options. Choose a room with morning sunlight and add as much color as you can. My breakfast table shown here has three different glazed chintz florals from Lee Jofa. It’s a little wild-and a lot cheerful.” -Rebecca Gardner, Interior and Events Designer

Start Soft

“I start with a color palette and build from there. Leaf green and blue? Natural and pink? Just be aware to pick dustier tones so that the table does not veer to the saccharine side. I always factor in the colors of the fresh seasonal flowers I plan to use. Make the tablescape super dimensional by mixing natural textures with a bit of sparkle.” -Joanna Buchanan, Product Designer

Look to Nature for Inspo

“My favorite thing about setting our table at Easter is all of the color we can infuse into the space. From the linens to the dyed eggs, I always enjoy pulling colors from the beautiful flowers that mark the beginning of spring.” -Tiffanni Reidy, Interior and Commercial Designer

Walk on the Wild Side

“With spring’s lighter mood, Easter is the perfect occasion to create a tablescape layered with a luxe and colorful mix of gold, cream, cobalt blue, and textured metal elements. I also like to include a whimsical conversation piece such as this delightful mahout napkin ring.” -Doreen Chambers, Interior Designer

Mix and Match

“I am a fan of monochromatic palettes, but for Easter and spring I say push the envelope and add a touch of shimmer-this year is certainly one to be fun and creative. Accent with place settings, flatware, and candles in varying shades of rose gold. For a chic and grounding finale, weave fresh olive leaves along the table and around the centerpiece.” -Brigid Coulter, Interior Designer

Go Bold

“As a lover of bold color and prints, I like to buck tradition and combine saturated colors with the typical Easter pastels. Bringing in strong, saturated colors with the linens and floral centerpieces is a great way to modernize the traditional Easter table and experiment without making a serious commitment.” -Kelly Finley, Interior Designer

Formal Yet Friendly

“In our home we like to create a formal setting for Easter. We have a large gathering of family and friends, so we set up restaurant-style. We decorate each table with a centerpiece of spring flowers and candles, and everyone gets a full place setting.” -Everick and Lisa Brown, Interior Designers

Pick a Seasonal Palette

“Spring is a time of renewal and rejuvenation, so adding pastel colors, either in your table runner, fabric, or napkins adorning the table, is a simple way to mimic the happenings in nature.” -Marissa Whitley Tago, Interior Designer

Repeat Decorative Elements

“Repeating patterns of flowering plants and clipped greenery add drama and make for a festive table.” -Danielle Rollins, Interior Designer

Have Fun with a Woodland Theme

“Bring a bit of the outdoors in for your tablescape. Incorporate woodland creatures, like squirrels and deer, into the smaller details for a bit of surprise and delight, like I have here on these cupcakes as seen in my book, Celebrate Everything!. Mix in flora and fauna with a variety of white flowers. You can use unique vessels, like these birch rounds, to play up the nature theme.” -Darcy Miller, Author and Entertaining Expert
