Britain's Got Talent magician Damien rumbled by fans after card trick goes wrong

During his spooky gig, personal trainer Damien, 35, roped in Amanda’s help to pull off the trick but viewers weren't fully convinced

Britain’s Got Talent got off to an explosive start on Saturday night after magician Damien O’Brien was rumbled by the audience.

The talented magician had judges Amanda Holden, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Ashley Banjo on the edge of their seats with his mind-boggling performance.

During his spooky gig, personal trainer Damien, 35, roped in Amanda’s help to pull off the trick.

Damien asked Amanda to find his name on social media, but didn't specify which platform.

Without even hesitating, the blonde bombshell, 49, went straight to Instagram and found the magician as he carried on with the trick.

Before asking her find his hidden social media account, Damien revealed that he had posted an image of the card that Amanda had picked out on his Instagram.

However, after he pulled out the correct card, eagle-eyed viewers flocked to Twitter to rumble the magician.

Some unimpressed viewers claimed that Damien had set up 52 Instagram accounts with every single card from the deck as his latest post.

Amanda helped Damien out

“Easy...he’s got 52 Instagram accounts...each with a picture of a different card!” one fan suggested.

While a second echoed: “Yeah, maybe he has loads of accounts though? Anyone could do that!”.

Others insisted that the card on Instagram didn’t quite match the real card which Damien has chosen.

The show-stopping performance blew up on Twitter

“Damian the magician just took a different card than what Amanda picked #BGT” exclaimed one convinced spectator.

“It doesn't match perfectly, the card image is complete on the phone, the card in her hand has a little bit of the bottom of the club on it” another suggested.

It didn’t stop there, however, as more fans pointed out that Damien initially forgot to take the card from David Walliams pocket.

Viewers didn't hold back

“Sorry he left it in David’s pocket though!” claimed another fan.

“Just leave it in David’s pocket? Okay then!” someone else complained.

Amanda's phone ended up being locked away during the trick but she ended up having it back at the end of the performance.

The TV star was gobsmacked when her mobile was unveiled to have been locked up in a box covered in string.
