Over 400 people are facing an uncertain future, with many staying in temporary accommodation, including hotels.
Shaban Ali, a father of two, expressed his exhaustion and frustration, having been unable to wash properly and not having seen his children since the evacuation. He helped with the evacuation on Tuesday night but received little communication from the council regarding his own situation.
Many residents, like Mr. Ali, have been wearing the same clothes for days and are struggling with the uncertainty of when they can return home. Some families have been split up and are unable to cook their own meals.
Residents staged a protest at City Hall in Bristol, demanding an investigation and more support from the council. Bristol City Council is working to arrange more suitable accommodation for residents and is conducting urgent surveys to determine the condition of Barton House.
