Study shows UK sea levels up 13.4 cm since 1993, outpacing global mean
A recent state‑of‑the‑UK‑climate report reveals that sea levels around Britain have risen by thirteen point four centimetres since nineteen ninety‑three, exceeding the global average increase of ten point six centimetres.
The increase is attributed to ocean warming and shifting currents, with two‑thirds of the rise occurring in the last thirty years.
The report also highlights a rise in extreme weather, more frequent heatwaves and wetter winters across the UK.
