Tesco Issues Recall for Stuffing Mix Due to Moth Concerns
Tesco has recalled its Finest Apple & Cranberry Stuffing Mix (130g), citing concerns over potential moth contamination.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned customers not to consume the product and to return it to the store for a full refund—no receipt necessary. The £2 vegetarian product, intended for a Christmas dinner with a best-before date of September 2024, has been deemed unsafe.
The FSA has stressed the importance of returning the item, which can be done without proof of purchase. Tesco apologized for the inconvenience. The product normally serves six and has a mixed 3.6-star quality rating from customers, with some criticizing it as "sludgy and tasteless" and others praising it.
Tesco had another recall in November for their Growers Harvest Garden Peas due to an unsafe berry contamination. The FSA regularly informs the public about food recalls and withdrawals to ensure safety.
