Tesco apologises after mum nearly feeds baby formula three months out of date
A mum was shocked to discover formula milk she bought for her baby was three months out of date.
Angeline Muca, from Hangleton, Hove, East Sussex, was about to feed her her four-month-old daughter Isabel when she noticed the bottle from Tesco was ‘dusty’.
She checked the label and realised the supermarket had sold her Aptamil baby milk with a best before date of October 5, 2020.

She said the same date was shown on six of the 12 bottles she had bought.
But when she went to complain at her local branch, the shop ‘quickly offered a refund’ and the manager also gave her a £10 gift card to make up for it.
A Tesco spokesman said: ‘We are sorry this has happened. We have a process for checking all the date codes in our stores and on this occasion, it looks like this product was missed.’
It comes after former Love Island star Hannah Elizabeth found ‘maggots and mould’ in her baby’s Aptamil formula milk in October last year.
She says ASDA apologised and offered her vouchers and that manufacturers Danone had launched an investigation.
