Collings, 34, was described as being "driven by misogyny" and used various methods to harass his victims. He monitored their phones using tracking apps, used a pet camera to spy on two of the women, and even followed one woman home, took her keys, and entered her home without permission. He also monitored her social media accounts and watched her home while parked outside.
Collings was dismissed from his position by Gwent Police after an accelerated misconduct hearing determined that his actions were driven by an "element of sexual gratification and gain."
Deputy Chief Constable Rachel Williams referred to Collings' crimes as "appalling and shocking" and encouraged any additional victims to come forward. She emphasized that the public expects police officers to adhere to the law and uphold the highest standards of behavior. Collings has also been banned from serving as a police officer.
