13-Year-Old Girl Charged with Attempted Murder After Stabbings at Ammanford School

A 13-year-old girl is scheduled to appear in court after being charged with three counts of attempted murder following a stabbing incident at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, Wales.
Two teachers and a pupil were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed by the girl.

She was arrested at the scene and also faces a charge of possessing a bladed article on a school premises.

All three victims have since been discharged from the hospital.

The girl is expected to appear at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The incident led to a four-hour lockdown.

Following the incident, police received reports of concerning messages about it on social media.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested in relation to the content and is currently in custody.

An investigation is ongoing after a serious incident at a school in Wales involving the alleged offenses against students.

The police are running the investigations separately but are looking for possible links.

Supt Evans urged people not to speculate or share pictures or videos related to the investigations.

Emergency services, NHS, and others helped after the incident, and teachers and staff are expected to return to prepare the building for students' return on Monday.

Wales' First Minister, Vaughan Gething, expressed shock and concern for the school, families, and community.
