Two Teenagers Charged with Rape and Kidnap in New Forest Incident
14-year-olds face multiple charges following alleged attack in Hampshire park
Two 14-year-old boys have been charged with the kidnap and rape of a girl of the same age in a park located in New Forest, Hampshire.
The incident reportedly took place on the evening of January 17 at Fordingbridge recreation ground.
Due to legal constraints, the identities of the accused cannot be disclosed.
One of the boys, hailing from Fordingbridge, is charged with rape, threats to kill, possession of a knife in a public place, and kidnap/falsely imprisoning a person with the intent to commit a relevant sexual offence.
The second accused, also from Fordingbridge, faces charges of rape, threats to kill, and kidnap.
A third boy, aged 13, has been released on conditional bail while further police inquiries are conducted.
Both defendants are scheduled to appear at Southampton Youth Court.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire Constabulary noted that police received a call at 10:41 pm on January 17, although the incident is believed to have occurred earlier that evening.
The victim is receiving support from specialist officers.
