Severe flooding has affected Portadown, County Armagh, and other parts of Northern Ireland following heavy rainfall. Homes have been damaged, and residents have been forced to contend with floodwater.
During the past three days, firefighters have rescued dozens of people from flood-related incidents, including vehicles stranded in floodwater and people trapped in flooded properties.
The ongoing flooding has led to road closures and disruptions to public transport. Parts of counties Down, Antrim, and Armagh have been particularly affected. The Northern Ireland Civil Service has established a cross-departmental group to coordinate efforts to help those affected by the flooding.
