Former Tory MP Daniel Poulter Defects to Labour Over Disagreements with NHS Handling
Daniel Poulter, a former Conservative MP and ex-health minister, has announced his defection to the Labour Party due to his disagreement with the Conservative Party's management of the National Health Service (NHS).
In an exclusive interview with BBC's Laura Kuenssberg, Poulter expressed his concern for the NHS, stating that it "deserves better." He added that he found it increasingly challenging to maintain eye contact with his NHS colleagues, patients, and constituents while representing the Conservative Party.
Poulter, who was first elected in 2010 and served as a health minister under the coalition government, will share more details about his decision during an interview on BBC One at 09:00 BST on Sunday.
