Boris Johnson was reportedly dismissed from Channel 4's US election coverage for persistently promoting his book, 'Unleashed,' according to co-host Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
During the live program, titled 'America Decides: US Presidential Election,'
Johnson held up and referenced his memoir multiple times.
Guru-Murthy instructed
Johnson to stop, calling his actions 'cheap.' Despite warnings,
Johnson continued to mention his book and claimed there was 'nothing you can do to stop me.' His departure’s timing was uncertain, whether planned or due to the controversy.
Later,
Johnson was replaced by Michael Cohen, former lawyer to
Donald Trump.
Channel 4 was contacted for comment regarding the incident.
