Bangor Head Teacher Neil Foden Accused of Sexually Abusing Five Children: 'Refused to Be Stopped'
A head teacher named Neil Foden, 66, from Old Colwyn, Conwy county, is on trial at Mold Crown Court for sexually abusing five children.
Mr. Foden, who was in charge of Ysgol Friars in Bangor and strategic head of Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle in Penygroes, both in Gwynedd, allegedly used his position to access the children.
He denies 20 charges, which include sexual activity with a child, and the allegations date from January 2019 to September 2023.
Prosecutor John Philpotts stated that Mr. Foden grossly abused the trust placed in him by sexually assaulting the girls over a four-year period.
(Warning: This article contains upsetting content) A young girl, identified as Child A, showed an adult a picture of herself with Mr. Foden and conversations about oral sex, leading to a police investigation.
The girl claimed that Mr. Foden hugged her, which progressed to kissing.
Mr. Foden reportedly told the girl to keep their relationship a secret and not tell anyone.
They exchanged phone numbers, with Mr. Foden saved under the name "Nick Jones," and communicated on WhatsApp.
Mr. Foden allegedly asked the girl to delete their messages daily.
On one occasion, the girl tried to prevent Mr. Foden from touching her underwear, but he persisted and refused to stop.
A youngster accused Manchester City footballer Daniel Foden of molesting her, with the alleged incidents becoming more serious over time.
Foden reportedly suggested a road trip with the intention of further abuse, and was almost caught in the act twice.
Previous concerns about Foden's behavior had been brought to the attention of the council, but there was no formal complaint or investigation.
