California Moves to Ban ICE Agents from Wearing Masks

California lawmakers have passed a bill that would prohibit federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from wearing masks while conducting operations in the state.

Governor Gavin Newsom has thirty days to sign or veto the legislation, which supporters argue promotes transparency and public safety.

Opponents, including Republicans and some moderate Democrats, contend the bill oversteps state authority and complicates federal enforcement efforts.
